Sahara Motel

The room was cozy, super clean, and had everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. We stayed for a weekend with friends and had an amazing time. You can’t beat being right on the beach, just steps from the boardwalk. We loved waking up to ocean views and walking to the shops, restaurants, and rides in the afternoon. It made for a fun, relaxing trip, and we’ll definitely come back.

My family and I have been coming here for the past six summers, and each year we love it more. The staff are so sweet and always accommodating, and the rooms work great for us with two kids. It’s in the best location in Wildwood, right on the beach and boardwalk. We can’t wait for summer, and the kids are already asking to go back!

We’ve come back every summer for more than 20 years, and I always look forward to seeing what’s been updated. It isn’t a fancy, modern place, but the staff are wonderful, the rooms are clean, and you can’t beat the location, just steps from the boardwalk and beach. I love the nostalgic feeling. It reminds me of beach vacations when I was a kid.

It makes me sad to say this because I’ve been going to Wildwood every summer and staying at the Sahara since 2010, making so many memories there. But last summer, a five-night room cost me $1492.15, almost $300 a night, and it just doesn’t feel worth that. The room hasn’t had updates in literal years, and the furniture is exactly the same. The pool closes early, and when a big group is using it, there’s barely room to share. This year I booked a flight to Florida with a hotel included for less. It’s disappointing to feel priced out of a place I’ve loved.
