The Singapore Motel

We liked being so close to the beach, and the pool was cleaned daily. The owners were very accommodating when we needed fresh towels. Both rooms and the bathroom were clean, even though the building is old. We asked that housekeeping not enter while we were away, which is something we do wherever we stay and says nothing about whether we trust the staff. We’ll be back next year. Thank you, John, Pat and son!

My family comes back because in Wildwood we spend most of our time at the pool, beach, boardwalk, or all the other things to do, so we don’t need much in the room. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean, and the price is great for this location. You’re right on the beach, near the pavilion and just steps from the bike path to the boardwalk. It’s far enough from the boardwalk noise, though. The pool temperature is perfect. If you want a lot of extras, you may want to look elsewhere.

The bed was comfortable, and being right by the beach was a big plus. The service and people were great, and my fiancée and I had a nice time, so I’d come back if they fixed a few things. The parking was tight. Our clean room had no heat, and we froze all night despite putting on layers. It took forever to warm up, and the water never got hot. I’d give it three stars.

The manager was nice, but I’m not happy with this stay. My car was vandalized, my daughter slipped on the wet floor and hurt her elbow, and the cleaner management sent made the floor worse. They blamed the old box-style air conditioners for the wet floors and said you can’t control the temperature. There was food on the shears even though we hadn’t eaten or ordered food in the room, a grasshopper inside, a light that kept flickering, and loud bangs and slamming doors from upstairs. The door lock was hard to open, and the beds were too firm and bad for your back if you don’t like a firm mattress. Not a great hotel. If you just need a cheap place to sleep, maybe it’ll do.
