The stay at Belfry House was lovely, with friendly, attentive staff and a welcome package that made arrival feel special. The rooms were spotless, with quality linens and finishes, and the thoughtful, elegant design gave the place more of a private estate feel than a standard hotel. It’s an intimate boutique stay with a refined look, and easily one of the best places I’ve stayed in Wisconsin. I did run into frustratingly inflated prices through Expedia. The third-party markups seemed high compared with the value, so I’d suggest booking directly if you can to avoid the hassle and extra cost.

We really enjoyed the room, especially the fireplace, heated bathroom floors, free wine, sodas and snacks, plus cable and internet. The mattress and PILLOWS were exemplary, which matters a lot to me. The whole facility was impressively clean, from the lobby and restaurant to the hallways and outside. Although The Belfry House sits right off WI Route 67, which I usually avoid, the road wasn’t busy and didn’t affect our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by how quaint and quiet it was. The thermostat directions were outdated compared with the actual remote units, and it took a bit of effort to get everything working. Once set up, the system was quiet, fully functional and comfortable. The hotel gives guests a parking pass, but parking can be tricky on weekends when locals also visit Opus/Bistro 67. I guess that’s what happens when there’s a really good restaurant on site. We chose the Bistro 67 menu on Friday. We split the Warm Goat Cheese Salad, then my wife had the Prime Beef Filet and Frites and I had the Wild Ora King Seared Salmon. We shared Yukon Gold Potato Gratin and crème brulee for dessert. We had two martinis, followed by another martini and a glass of wine. Service was excellent, and Chef Eric’s dishes were a superior dining experience with top-notch presentation. With a 20+% tip, the meal came to $199. Stunning. We’ll definitely be back. We’re from Illinois, where I’ve been shocked by $200+ bills for a very average night out. The restaurant is small, and it offers exactly what anyone who eats anything would want when paying for a meal. So much post-covid service and food has been sub-par or mediocre at high prices.

We went on a Sunday and Monday night in the off season, so my wife and I had the whole Belfry House to ourselves. It made for a peaceful, relaxing stay, and check-in was easy. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a fireplace and heated bathroom floors. The wine and snacks, plus complimentary muffins and treats in the lobby, were especially thoughtful. There’s a historic music venue on the property and an excellent attached restaurant with fine dining. The hotel is adults only, for guests 21 and up, with no children, which made it a unique and romantic getaway. Lake Geneva and downtown, with shopping, dining, water activities and leisure, are just five minutes away. If you want to avoid waterfront prices, this is a great place to stay. Honestly, we liked it far better than being on the waterfront. It reminded us of a time in travel long forgotten. Trust us, book the Belfray House.

Those handwritten birthday notes and truffles were such a nice touch. My room was clean and quiet, with a huge, comfortable bed. The heated bathroom floor, complimentary robes and big walk-in shower made it easy to relax. Snacks and drinks were great too, including a bottle of wine. Elegant, and adults only.

We had a deluxe room with a really nice stand-up shower, heated floors, a fireplace and a very comfortable king-size bed. It was spacious and lovely, and the hotel was wonderful. They included wine, chocolate and muffins, plus free water bottles, coffee, soda and snacks. 10/10, I’d definitely stay again.
