Super 8 by Wyndham Williams West Route 66/Grand Canyon Area

The room was quiet, the heat worked well, and the fridge and microwave were ice cold. That’s about all the good. There were no cups, and the TV didn’t work. At the front desk, I was told to turn it on using the back of the TV, and that was the only help we got. We eventually found that the remote was useless, the power cord was unplugged, and the volume had to be controlled with five tiny buttons on the back. The front desk was no help at all. The pet area was full of goat-head stickers, so it wasn’t pet-friendly. The beds felt like sleeping on the floor, the pillows were flat and awful, and the blanket was very thin. After driving 11 hours, we didn’t get a good rest. This subpar hotel was way too expensive at $183 for one night. There was coffee in the office in the morning and some juice by a vending machine. I’ll be asking for a partial refund.

Around 2 AM, we started searching for a hotel, and this was the only place where staff were available. They were very accommodating with us and our pets, and the price was quite reasonable. It’s also well located, near town and local stores. I’d definitely recommend it.

The lobby smelled strongly of old food, and the rooms had a terrible odor as soon as we walked in. The air was stale, and the floors and surfaces clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The place felt unkempt. Customer service was rude and unhelpful, with no concern for guests. Not worth the price or the hassle.

I could barely relax or sleep because the odor in the room was so bad. It felt grimy throughout, with sticky floors and a terrible smell from the moment I walked in. The staff were rude and completely unhelpful, as if they couldn’t care less about guests. This Super 8 clearly doesn’t take cleanliness or service seriously. Worst stay I’ve had anywhere. I wouldn’t recommend it.
