Armistead House

The location made our Williamsburg history visit easy. It was a four-minute walk to hohl, five minutes to Ember, and six minutes to duke of Gloucester. I worried the room might be too small, but it worked well for a couple, with a modern bathroom. Downstairs there's a shared area with water and a Keurig for coffee and tea. One more thing from our updated review: my partner and I left a few important things behind, and Julia kindly called and shipped them back. Even though it's a contactless property, the service was amazing and went above and beyond. We'll stay again next time.

The Armistead house is right beside Colonial Williamsburg, with coffee shops, restaurants, and Merchants square an easy walk away. We found the bed comfortable and the bathroom nicely furnished. Entry to the main floor and room was simple with the keypads, and coffee and tea from the Keurig in the parlor are available anytime. We'd happily return.

We picked this place for a two-night weekend visit to Colonial Williamsburg and really liked how convenient it was. Market Square, the historic streets, and the W&M campus are only a couple of blocks away, so everything we needed was walkable. We were in the Austen room on the ground floor. It has a private entrance through the gate at the back, a comfortable double bed, an updated bathroom, its own thermostat, and a parking space. A unique place to stay, and very convenient.

The rooms are spacious and the queen beds comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay enough that we'd come back. For a visit to Colonial Williamsburg, the location is hard to beat. The one thing we wished for was breakfast, even something continental. Since none is provided, you have to go out to eat and then return to wait around until the park opens at 10.
