The full kitchen came in handy for a few meals, and the included breakfast had plenty to choose from. Our suite was clean, roomy, and stocked with what we needed. It was also close to Colonial Williamsburg and lots of places to eat, while still being peaceful. The staff were warm from the start, and check-in took no time. A really comfortable stay at Homewood Suites in Williamsburg, especially for families.

For Williamsburg, the price felt fair. The room was roomy, comfortable, and spotless, and breakfast had lots of choices, including vegetarian food. We did hear some noise at night, possibly from weekend traffic. Otherwise, a good hotel.

Breakfast had a decent range of choices, and the beds looked clean and tidy. The two-bedroom suite was spacious and modern, which I liked, but cleanliness was disappointing. There was a fishy odor, possibly from an unemptied trash can under the sink, and a damp paper towel picked up dirt from the hard floors. I may stay here again when I’m back in Williamsburg.

The three phones in our room were all having problems. We also found dirty sheets on the bed. The front desk gave us clean ones, but expected us to change them ourselves.

Check-in went smoothly and the room was clean, though it was missing tissues and washcloths. The bigger disappointment came at breakfast around 9:00: there was no juice or coffee, and the eggs and sausage were cold. The buffet was supposed to close at 9:30, but staff were packing it up by 9:15. When we raised it with Stacy on the way out, she said we’d receive a $50 credit. Instead, we got 5,000 points, worth $5. We couldn’t be more disappointed.
