Wedmore Place was quiet and romantic, with vineyard views and cozy fireplaces. I liked that it felt tucked away but was still near Colonial Williamsburg and other attractions. The hotel has a lovely European style, and each room has its own decor, which made our stay feel special. Staff were welcoming and helpful from check-in through check-out. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was a beautiful, relaxing visit, and I'd happily stay at Wedmore Place again.

For what it costs, I'd choose another hotel with equally nice looks and staff who care about hospitality. I emailed and gave them time to reply, but still haven't heard back. Service was poor, and staff were supposed to be on site until 10pm according to the welcome email, but they left at 5. That meant we couldn't have a fire in the room, and when the TV stopped working, nobody was there to help. The room didn't have towels, so we had to ask for them. Breakfast came to the room, which sounded nice, but the quiche was cold and the yogurt was expired. We got two hot coffees but just two half-and-halfs and no sugar. The bathroom plumbing was a mess: the shower had no hot water, while the sink only had hot water. In the Piedmont room, the toilet rocked and wasn't fixed to the floor. The bathroom was narrow, too. We arrived 10 minutes before our noted 4pm arrival and found wine in a melted ice bucket, as if it had been sitting there for a while. The place looks beautiful, but in practice it felt like a 2/3 star travel hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

Tucked away at the Williamsburg Winery, Wedmore Place made us feel as though we'd traveled to Europe. Our inviting room had a lovely fireplace, and we enjoyed continental breakfast before strolling through the vineyards. It's also close to Colonial Williamsburg, which makes it a nice base for relaxing and exploring the area. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return.

Everything felt welcoming and relaxing, and the hotel was well maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with amenities that added to the stay. Staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help. I'd happily come back, and recommend it if you're looking for good service and a comfortable place to stay.

The winery and location are great, and the service was phenomenal. The hotel itself is quaint but a little tired, especially the bathrooms, which could use some TLC. There's little insulation, so you can hear guests in other rooms, particularly upstairs. I'd definitely try for a top floor room.
