We left at 2:45am after talking to the cops because we felt unsafe and the room felt unclean. We'd been woken at 2:15 by people banging on our door. When police arrived, they told us law enforcement had been at the door because someone made a fraudulent 911 call claiming a “girl in room 231 involved in an incident in town.” We weren't in town at all. Two men had watched us enter our room around that time. The room was dirty, with big bugs and dirt on the floor, stained top blankets, comforters, and sheets, and dust and stains on nearly every surface. The toilet seat wasn't attached, and there was no additional lock on the door for safety. I was also charged an unexplained extra $50. The receipt showed an $86 room charge, and I was charged $180. I was told about a $50 security deposit, which would have made the total $130, but the extra $50 still hasn't been refunded or explained by the hotel staff or customer service. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The sites look good at first, but if you read the reviews, they seem fake. It isn't worth your money, time, or safety. Book anywhere else.

We stayed last night after driving down from Nova Scotia, and I wouldn't come back. The AC was so loud it felt like trying to sleep beside an idling diesel truck. The little towels felt like sandpaper. Worst of all, the bathroom door wouldn't close because it hit the ceiling light and the toilet. We were tired from the drive, but I'd spend the extra couple bucks for a real hotel and pass on this place.

I came by bicycle from the C&O Canal Towpath, and Kunal welcomed me warmly. We had a great conversation, and he helped with everything I needed, including a very good dinner recommendation. I could wheel my loaded bike straight into a ground floor room. There was hot coffee and tea in the morning, and Waffle House is next door. I'll be back!

The hotel has been updated recently, and it's clean and very good value. Kunal checked us in and was wonderful, patient, and kind when I ran into trouble with my original third party booking. I ended up booking directly with him, and I'll do that next time we stop here halfway to our destination.

The women who run the office are amazing. This is the best hotel I've found in the area for putting my family up when they come through town, so they don't mess up my house.
