The Peter Herdic Inn

The Herdic House is pink, and it’s freaking pink! It’s also a historic landmark with elegant cuisine and the best drinks in town if you’re into spirits.

We loved the Victorian decor and having our own balcony. The location is great too, with restaurants and a huge grocery store within walking distance. The kitchen had just about every amenity you could want, plus extras like fresh-baked granola bars, strawberries, eggs, fruit, milk, coffee, beer, and wine. Sheila, the host, replied promptly and was very accommodating. Nikki, the housekeeper, was so sweet and easy to reach. We’ll definitely be back!

Leslie was friendly, set up a nice breakfast for everyone, and kept us entertained with engaging conversation. There were also beers, cold water, fruit, and snacks for everyone in the house, which was unbelievable and better than staying in any hotel. The property itself was spectacular, with beautiful finishes, historic details, and lots of space. Parking right by the property was super convenient. Definitely the best choice in Williamsport. Highly recommend!

The Balcony room was cute, sophisticated, and comfortable, with its own balcony. But reaching it meant going through the “private” bathroom, and that was the only door without a keypad. It couldn’t be locked while I was out, which made me uneasy about anyone being able to enter the bathroom. I kept my belongings in the room. Finding the Inn’s parking was confusing even with the directions they sent. It’s on a tiny back road and the spaces are very tight. Breakfast is no longer provided, as the website says, but that was disappointing for the price and a Bed and Breakfast. The kitchen is self-serve. During the first two days, I couldn’t find any creamer or milk for my coffee, and the only “breakfast” was cereal bars. Something light like pastries or bagels would’ve been nice, so I went to the local diner down the road every morning. It’s a cute, quaint Inn with lots of history, and a simple, comfortable option in a central location. I left my car parked for the trip and walked to the places I wanted to visit. The Peter Herdic House restaurant is right next door, with upscale but affordable food and very good service. Downtown shops and other entertainment are just a block away.
