Maple Terrace Motel

The location worked well for us, about a 20-minute walk from Williamstown. The grounds are lovely and peaceful, with a cared-for garden, a small pool, a new fire pit, and beautiful views over a horse pasture. The bathroom and shower are a bit small, more dorm-style, but that’s a minor tradeoff. My partner and I stayed five nights for a wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better stay at this charming little inn. Everything was very clean, and the owners were friendly, attentive, and quick to respond. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

I was there for one night, Saturday to Sunday, while hiking the AT, and the Maple Terrace Inn exceeded what I expected. The room was spotless and laid out thoughtfully, with a simple, peaceful comfort that’s hard to find now. Ashwan welcomed me warmly and made the stay feel effortless. I’d happily return and recommend the inn to anyone visiting Williamstown or the Berkshires.

The hosts were pleasant, and this family-run lodge was just right, neither too fancy nor too sparse. The cinnamon rolls were a lovely complimentary touch, and we appreciated the continental breakfast spread. It was reasonably priced and conveniently located, just what we needed.

After a long drive, I relaxed and refreshed by the pool, then spent time outside reading and watching the horses on the beautiful neighboring farm. The grounds are manicured, with lots of outdoor seating and a firepit. I also appreciated the bike rack since I’d brought two bikes, and the flower planters were a lovely detail. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, and sparkling clean. Breakfast had plenty of choices, with trays available for carrying food outside or back to the room.
