The room was a pool suite, and it was so clean and lovely that I wanted to cry when we walked in. The pool was pleasantly warm, the mini bar was handy, and the whole place was perfect for the relaxing night without the kids we'd been overdue for. My husband and I had come from kansas city on a business trip, and after booking I looked at the reviews and immediately regretted the reservation. Since we were already on our way, we went anyway. The guy at the desk was really friendly, checked us in fast, and answered all my questions. Checkout was easy too, and Alicia was very nice and quick. We chatted for a bit, and I had to tell her what a great night we'd had. We travel a lot, and this felt very different from the usual hotel. I learned not to rely on reviews every time. Sometimes you have to see for yourself. I'll be in the area often and look forward to coming back.

We really liked that the room wasn't laid out like a standard hotel room. Having separate buildings for the different rooms gave us more privacy and made it feel like our own little getaway. The room was amazing, and my husband and I loved it. The staff were kind and helpful, and gave us all the information we needed. They also upgraded us to a larger hot tub room when we arrived, which we really appreciated. We'll definitely return.

The nicest parts were the woman at the front desk, who was super nice, and the jacuzzi, which was okay. The sheets were decent and the bed felt comfortable, though I seemed to sink in a few spots and it may need replacing soon. For the price, I expected more. The photos online made the standard room look larger than it was, and a lot of the furnishings felt dated. There was a mini boom box nobody is likely to use, a tiny fridge, and a TV with no Bluetooth or casting option. The shower head looked like a $10 Walmart one, was grimy along with the doorway into the stand-up shower, and barely had any water pressure. The shower only came with super mini bottles, so bring your own overnight. The cabinets were dusty, and one light button was broken. The controls were in a strange spot right by where you sleep and rest your head. I was glad I chose a standard room first as a test before considering the pool room, which is nearly $600. By the time I checked in it was late, so I didn't ask to change anything, but looking back, I wish I had.

We never got into a room that felt safe, and the whole visit took an hour and a half before we left. My sister and I came for check-in so I could help decorate for her birthday, but the service was bad from start to finish. The woman and man at the desk wouldn't give their names when we first asked. They seemed willing to help at first, then quickly got an attitude. We only wanted a safe room. The first room had no latch, and they acted surprised before offering to move us. The second had a latch, but its bottom lock wouldn't lock. They reacted as if they couldn't believe it either. In the third room, the door wouldn't unlock with our key, so we stood out in the snow and cold waiting for them to bring another key. Once inside, there was no latch again, even though the lack of one was why we'd rejected the first room. They said it had an updated lock, but after all those problems, we still didn't feel comfortable. We'd been there over an hour and hadn't really been put in a room. I asked if my sister could get another hour since hers had been wasted just trying to get in, but they said no, she was already getting an upgrade. The room looked just like the one she'd booked, so I don't know what the upgrade was. When she checked out, she asked for a receipt showing her deposit would go back to her card. They said there was nothing they could give her, it all had to be handled by email, and they still wouldn't give their names. It was really upsetting, and my sister was sad. She just wanted a nice birthday night. The rooms also seemed kind of disgusting, unless they were only putting us in the bad ones. Out of three, you'd think one would have been good enough. We didn't stay and won't return.

I booked a premium suite for my birthday and paid to add the birthday package, but it hadn't been included when I arrived. At first the room looked nice, then I noticed how run-down it was. The bed had apparently once had a mirror attached to the top, but it was broken or removed and left looking shoddy. The fake fireplace was broken and gave off no heat, and the room was drafty. A live roach crawled across the floor, and another was dead in the bathroom. For the price, I was disappointed with the amenities and the stay, so I left. When I called the front desk to explain, there was no apology or offer to make it right. They just said, 'Okay, I'll mark you as checked out.' Wow. Just wow.
