I had two good nights of sleep, and the room was standard Hilton quality. Staff were helpful, especially our breakfast server and Kareem at the front. Breakfast turned out not to be included, despite the check-in staff telling me it was. That was a little awkward but got sorted out smoothly. I gladly paid, and it was good value. Walking south on King St. didn't feel safe to me; Market St. was a better option. The lobby has been dressed up, but other renovations seem stalled. I won't stay again until there's proof of a full renovation. Photos of the pool, bar, and dining room on Google Maps and the Hilton app or website need updating. The option to prepay for parking with a reservation should be removed because it's false, and rooms need "do not disturb" signs. The elevator was broken, there was no room safe, and there were no snacks for sale. Lots of surfaces were rusted or worn, with repairs only partly done. My room also had no "do not disturb" sign, an issue reviewer Phill Hood had detailed four months earlier. Please show that small problems can be handled promptly. Repeatedly answering the same complaints and apologizing must be tiring for the staff and management. I feel sorry for them. I'd much rather be leaving a glowing review, and this wasn't fun to write.

The lobby looked very nice, but our room was never cleaned and the towels weren't replaced at any point during our three-night stay. Check-in staff were less than welcoming on several occasions. I travel about once a month and have been a Hilton Honors member for many years, and this was one of my worst hotel stays in quite some time. We were on the seventh floor, directly below construction on the eighth. Work started between 7:30 and 8:00 each morning, making a very disruptive start to the day. I understand renovations can be beneficial, but I suggest leaving the seventh floor unbooked until work above is done, or starting later. A vacuum cleaner and water bottles sat outside our door for days. The hallway was noticeably dirty and smelled unpleasant. I'm confident the updates will help, but as a loyal Hilton customer I was very disappointed, and hope these issues are addressed so other guests don't have the same experience.

Kareem and Andrea made my stay at the DoubleTree worth it. I was back home visiting, and from the moment I arrived they were kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and were so sweet and accommodating that the stay felt easy and stress-free. I'm grateful for everything they did. DoubleTree is lucky to have them.

We stayed one night while the hotel was being renovated. The room was nice, freshly painted, and had hardwood floors. The buffet waitress and front desk staff were very nice. But at 9:30 in the morning, a man knocked and then unlocked the door before we could answer, asking if we were checking out. We weren't. That was extremely unacceptable.

I'm tired, confused, and honestly pretty pissed off. I've never had housekeeping harass me this much. I was here for two nights with a touring band playing a show in town. We had late shows and overnight drives to other states ahead, so this was our one chance to rest before the long haul. As soon as we got to our room, we saw there was no do-not-disturb sign to hang. A knock the next morning was expected, and I politely declined housekeeping. That would've been fine, but they kept coming back and cut into a couple of hours of much-needed sleep. Checkout day was worse. One of the cleaning ladies repeatedly and aggressively pushed us to leave at 10 a.m., even though both the front desk and website confirmed our checkout was at noon. I tried explaining, but it fell on deaf ears. I complained at the front desk and got a shrug and a halfhearted apology. There was no hot water our first night, but staff fixed it promptly after we let them know. I can forgive that, the renovation work, and some missing toiletries. The repeated harassment is another matter. We stayed just to get needed rest and comfort, but that seemed to be the staff's last priority. I've never experienced this before, especially from a Hilton brand. Unacceptable.
