Coastal Inn & Suites - Wilmington, NC

We enjoyed our one-night stay overall. The hotel was clean and spacious, and we understand they can't choose their neighbors. Still, security should be a major focus. While the front desk was unattended, I saw three people come over from the nearby Opioid Rehabilitation center and enter through the secure entrance to get coffee and use the vending area. It seems there should be someone at the desk all the time. The toilet also took almost three minutes to refill after each flush, and there was nobody available when I tried to report it. At 7am there was no one at the desk to check us out, despite a sign saying the lobby opened then. Another sign told us to leave the key on the desk and they'd check us out from the room when available. Bathroom fixtures could use an update too, but safety is the main concern.

There was a disruptive neighbor late at night, and the staff handled a difficult situation really well. The night shift woman was incredible, and the day shift man was helpful and very pleasant. I'd definitely stay here again.

David, the manager, was about as friendly and helpful as anyone could be. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the room spacious, and the bed comfortable. Even the whole room smelled great, and the shower and bath were great too. Local dining and shopping were only a short drive away. Best hotel I've stayed at in a long time.

David at the front desk made a real difference: he was friendly, efficient, recommended local eateries, and made sure I had what I needed. His welcome set a great tone. I had a wonderful stay at Coastal Suites in Wilmington, NC, last Friday, from check-in through checkout. The location is near the coast, with easy access to beaches and downtown. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with stunning views that made waking up a treat. I'd highly recommend it for a quick getaway.
