The bed was the best I’ve ever slept in, which mattered a lot while we waited out the January 2026 winter storm. We stayed at the Harriss Hotel with our greyhound, and it was wonderfully dog-friendly. The hosts were warm and kind, and the contactless setup made the whole stay convenient and modern. This refurbished 1920s building balances its history with modern amenities. The tile and woodwork are gorgeous and clearly restored with care. Thoughtful details, curated music, and a subtle welcoming scent give it a lovely feel from the moment you step inside. Parking next door and a drop-off area right in front made arrival easy in winter weather. What could’ve been a stressful storm turned into one of my most memorable hotel stays. We can’t wait to come back to Wilson.

There’s plenty of space, the supplies were great, and the decor felt fancy. The pullout couch was comfortable, and the hosts were quick to respond whenever I needed something. It was easy to park safely, and the windows were lovely open, though they don’t have screens. I would’ve liked a cleaner shower curtain, and the water took a while to heat up. I could easily hear doors shutting and people walking downstairs from my ground-floor room. So many businesses are nearby that you don’t need to drive. If you do, most places in Wilson are within 10 minutes. I’d recommend Gino’s Gelato, Larema, Treat Yo’self, and Whirligig popcorn. I’ll definitely come back.

We came to The Harriss for my birthday and liked it enough to add another night. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and the service was great from the moment we arrived. The building’s history and local connections show in all the details. They’ve taken real care to preserve its character while offering modern luxury. It’s a clean, welcoming, high-quality place right in downtown, with the historic look and hospitality both done so well. 10/10, I’d recommend it.

The welcome snacks were a nice touch, and we liked being able to walk to restaurants and hangout spots in downtown Wilson. Our room matched the photos and the beds were comfortable. We had a great stay at The Harriss and have already asked about booking again.

Such a beautiful hotel, and we really enjoyed staying here. Every room has thoughtful details, and it’s convenient to the Gillette Athletic Complex, Larema for delicious coffee and food, and other cute shops. Highly recommend!
