Paradise Resort and Cabins

The rooms were just okay, and cleanliness could’ve been better. There was also a hard-to-pin-down feeling about the atmosphere that didn’t sit right with me. The location is decent and the property has some good points, but it’s a mixed bag overall. If money’s tight and you can live with a few quirks, Paradise Resort could work. For a truly relaxing vacation, I’d look elsewhere.

I’ve stayed here in my RV for five to six months each summer for more than five years, while working six days a week in the area and getting up at 6 a.m. I’ve always paid on time and tried to be quiet and respectful. I’ve even brought the owners baked goods a few times. It’s a motel with one RV spot out back, and the first few years were great, but the place has gone downhill badly. The owners now have friends over for weekend parties, with loud music, shouting, and yelling that can go on until early morning. When I asked them to turn it down, sometimes they did and sometimes they didn’t. Midway through this summer, they told me to stop asking, and to leave if I didn’t like it. Felix and Sharon are disrespectful, and seem to care only about themselves and the guests partying with them. After giving them my hard-earned money for all these years, I’m disappointed by how little decency they showed me. Don’t waste your time or money here. There are plenty of nicer motels nearby, and you can stay somewhere you’ll be treated with respect.

The shower floor was so disgusting that we needed shower shoes, and the beds had plastic under the sheets that felt like sleeping on plastic. The room was tiny, the photos were misleading, and there were no nightstands or TV access because there was no cable. They had an aluminum-type thing for hanging clothes. On top of that, the new owner spent half an hour telling us how rich he was and talking about his other properties. We couldn’t have been more disappointed, and we’ll never stay here again. Stay away, you won’t like it.

There are nice picnic tables and grilling facilities here, and it’s only a quick drive to nearby attractions. The staff were polite and friendly, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The shower had strong pressure and hot water. It’s a good no-frills motel. I’d recommend it and stay again.
