My mom and I had a great one-night stay. The neighborhood was quiet, though other guests may be loud. We heard a few doors slam, but that was about it. We knew there wasn't a thermostat in the room to control the temperature, so we brought a small fan and heater just in case. Having a bar with food right next door was a plus. We had a good time and hope to come back!

We were moved up to the cabin during a midweek slump, and it was so cute. The place felt magical, tucked into wine country, with a lovely clean pool, pizza parlor, bar, and tennis courts. The bar gets lively on Thursday night. Whiskey, vodka, and sotol distilleries are nearby, too. Down the hill there's also a bar and restaurant connected to lcf, and you can swim or kayak in the creek.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and I liked the vibe. The swimming hole is really cool, too. But we stayed two nights and I barely slept either one. Quiet hours weren't enforced at all: loud, drunk people in the hallway woke me at 1 am both nights, someone knocked on our door, and I finally went out to ask them to quiet down. The walls are paper thin, so you hear everything. Dogs are allowed, and there was a dog barking constantly. The room itself was uncomfortable. The bed was very uncomfortable, and its unattached headrest slid across the floor whenever we got on it. There were only two plugs, already taken by the lamp and TV. The TV barely worked, there are no in-room amenities, and the front desk controls the AC. The first room on the left faced another part of the building, so we got no natural light; it was dark even with the lights on. The AC unit right outside the window was also audible whenever it kicked on. If you just need somewhere to lie down, it's fine, but if you need sleep, don't stay here. We did not have a pleasant time at all.

The sunset in wimberly is beautiful, and having the bar, pizza spot, and pool just a rock's throw away is hard to beat. You could go into town, but we didn't feel any need to. When we arrived at The Lodge looking to unwind in nature, the staff welcomed us like old friends. The front desk team were charming, showed us around, and suggested a schedule that worked perfectly for us. Claude's was a highlight. The pizza was fantastic, and it feels like a small-town gem I hope doesn't get too well known, since I plan to return. I'd order pizza throughout a stay here. Chef Thomas and the Claude's team helped make this the MOST MEMORABLE TIME I've had all year. The rooms were great, the water was hot, and the beds were comfortable. These photos are from Claude's Cafe, which you need to check out. A few things to make time for: get pizza from Claude's, spend time at the Swimming Hole and the Pool, and catch the Live Music at the Bar!

We spent three days at the lodge, and the location really made our stay. Entry to the swimming hole is free, and it was fantastic. Go early if you want a parking spot and a shaded table. The pool was clean with plenty of seats, and there was a fire pit with free smores for the kids at night. The tavern and pizza spot on site had great food, too. Service was fantastic. The front desk was very friendly, as were the other guests around the grounds. The rooms could be better, but for the price, this is the best bang for your buck. Hot showers, comfortable beds, cool AC.
