We usually stayed on the lake in Culver, but I'm so glad I found Mill Creek Gardens. It's the best place we've stayed in the area, and everything felt fantastic and first class. Do yourself a favor and check it out, you won't regret it. What an amazing place!

For our recent 44th anniversary, my husband gave me a stay as a Christmas gift after I told him about the property. We loved the lovely room. Jim and Sue, who own the house, were so kind. They even let me play the baby grand piano before 9 pm and provided a little cake. Jim suggested adding flowers and candy, which my husband wisely ordered, so thanks to him! Breakfast at nearby Warrior Cafe was very good. If we get the chance, we'll come back and try another room. There are lots of books in the upstairs library, too. My husband and I used to live in the area, but I only saw the property a year ago, when my nephew and his mom stayed there for her last night in town after more than 40 years living in Winamac.

The property is majestic and palatial, and the birdwatching was amazing: we saw about 30 species in an hour. I would stay again, but the setup should be advertised accurately. We expected a true B&B with breakfast at the house and a more homey feel. Instead, it's more like an upscale hotel, and breakfast comes as vouchers for a restaurant down the street. We would've appreciated more food and drinks at the house, such as a water dispenser for guests and fresh hot coffee. There were only a few meager single serve coffees in the room.

The grounds made for a peaceful getaway, and the whole stay felt welcoming and like home. Our spacious, well cared for room was perfect, and the owners were very kind when we arrived. We were there for a wedding at Tippicanoe River State Park and stayed one night with our 5month old son. They seemed to think of everything we might need, and the complementary breakfast was delicious, prepared by some very sweet people. We ate with the other guests in the dining room. One of the women who made the meal even offered to help feed our little one while I ate, and we enjoyed talking.

Jim & Sue were so accommodating. My husband had left his dress shoes behind, and since we live two hours away, he asked Jim, almost as a joke and not expecting a yes, whether he had shoes he could borrow. We were surprised when Jim said he did, and we were very grateful for the hospitality. Our room was huge, beautiful, clean, and well kept, and the grounds were lovely. It's a very nice bed & breakfast, and we'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.
