Springhill Suites Marriott Airport

We had a great stay, from booking through checkout. Our King room had a trundle-bed sofa, and a handy little partition gave the kids a space of their own. Having the shower and toilet in separate areas made getting ready easier. We booked partly because the kids love indoor pools, so it was disappointing to find the pool closed. Luckily, an agreement with a sister hotel let us use its much larger pool.

The room layout worked well, and the lights and plugs by the bed were handy. I liked that the toilet and small sink were separate from the full-size sink and shower, though it felt a bit awkward for one person and sat right across from the bed. The strip at the bottom of the shower door was loose and let water out when I opened it, so I reported it at checkout. The room was clean and updated, and the shuttle made it to the airport on time in five minutes. I stayed one night before an early flight, and the location was fantastic. I'd stay again.

I got a few hours of sleep, then headed to the airport around 3:30AM for my flight. I checked in at 9PM, and the guy at the desk was friendly. The place seemed nice, though it was busy even late in the evening. Before bed I went to a local Mexican joint for dinner. I didn't get to experience much beyond the TV, bed, and shower since my stay was only 6-1/2 hours. The TV had full streaming options and the bed was comfortable, as were the room and shower. The bathroom had an issue, though: the toilet wouldn't flush unless I removed the tank lid and jiggled the float so it would refill. It wasn't a bad stay, but next time I'd probably try the Sheraton at the airport.

Demar was great. I had to cancel at the last minute, and Expedia wouldn't return my calls about a refund. Without me even asking, Demar went out of his way to cancel the rooms. He's honest and works hard. Promote him, Marriott! He saved me $300. Thanks, Demar. I'll be back.
