Quality Inn Windsor Mill - Baltimore

The water in the bathroom was brown, so I didn’t want to shower. The room smelled bad when I walked in, and spraying didn’t fix everything. Then the bed made me itchy, and I can still feel it as I type this. I’ve stayed here plenty of times and it wasn’t like this before. In my opinion this is unacceptable, and I want a full refund.

The room itself was nice, but the food, which was supposed to be hot, wasn’t. Waffles don’t count as a hot meal, and eggs and sausage would have been nice. A man kept watching to see how much food people took. Meanwhile, a woman cleaned tables while talking on her cellphone, and when I asked her something, she walked away and ignored me. That’s not acceptable. I stayed the night recently, but it could have been better, and I don’t see myself going back.

The room was clean as new and quiet, and I could see the mall from my window. The bus is right there, so there’s no need to pay $25 for a cab to the mall or bus stop or cross busy Route 1 from the other side. After feeling broken and disrespected by the hotel across the street, none of those bad things happened here. The gentleman had no issue with me honoring a fallen service member or being part of a veterans family, and he didn’t mind my golden light brown skin. He looks just like the racist at the other hotel, ironically, but he isn’t like that. I’ll definitely return, as long as checkout goes as smoothly as check-in.

For the price, it did what I needed: a shower and a place to sleep. The room had a smoky smell when I came in, but otherwise it worked for the cost. Just be aware that the bar downstairs hosts a party every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 2am, with people coming and going. The parking lot gets overpacked, leaving fewer spaces for paying customers.
