Val-U Motel Winnemucca

I didn't expect it to be this good. It's a lot cleaner than most places I've stayed, even ones that cost more. Love it.

I've never stayed here myself, but my fiancée has been here for work several times and will likely keep staying when she's in the area. Staff are always available, the rooms are clean, and they offer complimentary coffee. The mini fridge and microwave in the rooms have been clean and working every time. It's a convenient, cost-effective choice for short or longer business stays. Walmart is about a five-minute drive away, and there are lots of local restaurants and fast-food places nearby, which is hard to beat in a small town. I first called fairly late to book a room at the last minute. Anabelle was helpful and polite, made sure my fiancée's room was ready for her arrival, and patiently helped her check in when she got there late. The service has been exceptional each time. If you're passing through and need a cozy, convenient place to sleep, stop by Val-U Inn. They've got your back.

I really don't care for this place and think it needs to be torn down. I won't get into details, but if it looks a certain way, it probably is. Right? Beware where you stay.

We were driving home from our wedding reception in Utah, exhausted and needing a room, and the value inn was a welcome find. It cost $56 with tax, an incredible deal. The room was clean, there were no bugs, and the stay made us very happy. I've stayed in plenty of motels, and this room was just as good as any, maybe nicer, with the TV mounted on the wall. The staff seemed to be making a real effort to provide a decent stay and a cozy bed. When we noticed there was only one towel, I mentioned it, and the front desk worker ran to get us two pristine clean ones. He was extremely helpful, honest, and professional. I'd tried three other places first. Frontier lodge only had rooms with three beds for $100. The candle whatever it's called fancy motel wanted $130 for one night with a single bed, and they were booked. In my opinion, there aren't enough places like this anymore. I can prove I stayed here, and I'm not involved with the motel.
