Sands Inn by OYO Winnie

We came for a concert in Beaumont and wanted somewhere outside the city. Winnie worked out great, and the place felt quiet and safe, which matters a lot to me. The complex is quaint, and you use a PIN to enter your room instead of keeping track of a key card. Service was great too. The room and bathroom are tiny, and only a couple of the outlets worked. The bed was hard as a rock and uncomfortable, though once I fell asleep I stayed asleep. My husband and I made it through the one night we needed, and I'd stay again if I had to. I'd bring another pillow and a mattress topper next time. Thanks!

The room had plenty of space, but there weren't any chairs. I've worked in a few hotels, and I thought it was odd that no one explained how to use the unusual door locks.

The outside might put you off, but inside it's clean and quiet, and the staff are helpful. We'd stay here again on our next visit to Winnie.

We needed a place for a week with the family and were pleasantly surprised. Things have really changed since the previous owners, who hadn't given locals much reason to think well of this place. The new owners have clearly put care into renovating the whole hotel, inside and out. It's now one of the better budget choices in town and more updated than Days Inn or Motel 6. The front desk lady is friendly and has that comforting small-town charm that makes you feel welcome. We've truly enjoyed staying here. Even our son, who has special needs, used his letter tiles to call it “Home2.” That says a lot!
