It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay, even though the Village house is off a highway. The neighborhood is lovely and well lit, with easy access to St. Mary’s and other Winona amenities. We had a wonderful time over the past few nights. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for my 40th reunion at St Mary's, and being right across the street/highway from SMU made it super convenient. The whole house was $600 for Friday and Saturday night, if I understood the person who reserved it correctly. That’s cheap compared with four hotel rooms, and a hotel wouldn’t have been nearly as nice. There are four bedrooms, a big living room/dining room, a couple of sitting rooms, private baths in the bedrooms, and a more than adequate kitchen. We never really got to cook because we were busy with activities and meals on campus. The worst part is how comfortable it is. You can forget to go to bed and end up tired.

Anne, the lady who runs Village House Inn, is the kindest person you’ll ever meet. It’s a beautiful, tidy place and family friendly. Our family of six has stayed several times, and we’ve enjoyed it every time.

The property is beautiful, and I can't say enough nice things about it. Four of us had a great girls weekend away, and we each got our own bathroom.

The house has all the amenities and is great, but highway trucks rumble past the bedroom until midnight and start up again at 5 am. You’d better be deaf! The twin bed mattress was horribly sagged.
