Rodeway Inn Winslow I-40

The location was quiet and convenient, and parking was plentiful. Wi-Fi and hot showers both worked well. I spent three days at Rodeway Inn Winslow and had a wonderful stay. The room stayed clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the staff were welcoming and ready to help. For the price, it was a great value and one of the best motel stays I've had. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone passing through Winslow.

A convenient place to sleep while traveling. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the rooms were clean. They let us park our motorcycles under the atrium so night security could keep an eye on them. We had a pleasant stay, and the continental breakfast was good. Thanks.

We got into Winslow, Arizona close to midnight after 14 hours on the road, exhausted, and I booked through Priceline. I forgot to say that our children would be staying with my husband and me. At first I thought the hotel was nice for the price, and I meant to leave a good review. When we checked out early the next morning, the front desk woman stopped us. My young daughter was asleep in my husband's arms. The woman motioned him over, then started screaming that we had snuck men and women into the room and that she'd seen us on camera. She said I'd booked for one person. I apologized and took responsibility for not listing the kids. I'd booked in the middle of the night and we were exhausted, but I was happy to own the mistake. I kept explaining that only my husband, me, and our two children had stayed there. She wouldn't accept that and kept yelling the same accusation in front of the kids. My daughter started crying. We'd only slept four or five hours and were all worn out. I asked several times why she was so angry, but she just kept shouting. She wouldn't return our deposit until she'd inspected the room, and said we couldn't leave before she did. I've stayed in lots of hotels and worked at several, including at a front desk, and have never seen anything like it. She kept some of our deposit, which hurt since we were on a tight budget with many miles and states still to go before home, but we just wanted to get away. I was upset my children had to see that aggression, and I still don't know why she couldn't understand it was a small booking mistake. It was volatile and not child friendly. I won't stay here again and recommend finding somewhere else. It also seemed strange to require a room inspection before we could leave. Other reviews say the hotel has held deposits or kept people from leaving until their rooms were inspected too. The behavior was very strange, aggressive, and angry.
