Graylyn Estate

The Estate and grounds are gorgeous, and the food and service were great. Everyone was welcoming and knew their stuff, and all the staff we met were very kind. A few additions could make the visit feel more luxurious in such a grand space, like valet parking, someone or something to open the front door, and a spa. I felt a little awkward opening the door myself with nobody there, almost like a trespasser, but we were warmly greeted once inside. It's a beautiful experience, and I highly recommend visiting.

A very kind older gentleman helped us when we parked in the wrong place, showed us where to go, and even took a photo of us in front of the castle. The place is stunning, and we really enjoyed the steaks. Natalie’s Spritz is a must-try, too. Everything was wonderful, and I'd highly recommend this spot for a special date night.

Graylyn is a lovely little hideaway for relaxing and enjoying the historic surroundings. It's not big or crowded, and the staff are absolutely amazing. The only reason I didn't give the room five stars was that it was really cold the first night. Maintenance came the next day and kept at it until the problem was fixed. I also wish there'd been a coffee machine in my room. Having to cross the courtyard in 31-degree weather to get coffee in the morning wasn't fun. Allie, Amanda, Aaron Chris and Jason were the best. Graylyn, your staff rocks!

The property is beautiful, and I really hope they address the problems. My friend said it was the worst meal she had ever had. Three of us sent back the scallops with risotto because it was so salty. The waitress was very good and offered to redo the entree. The second plate was better, but still salty, and the scallops should have been grilled. I would think twice before recommending Graylen. We had friends stay there, and their Mews room was very cold. Maintenance couldn't fix the problem, so they asked to move to the much nicer Manor House. The thermostat there had issues too. Housekeeping was unpredictable: they came in, left one chocolate when there had been two, and didn't make the bed.
