We spent a week here and every staff member, from the front desk to housekeeping, was friendly and helpful. They even brought us two desk chairs when we asked. The rooms were clean and large, the laundry facilities were excellent, and the gym was fully equipped. Breakfast had hot and cold choices, and the snack and food area was well stocked. It’s about 35 minutes from Disney, with free hotel parking and a 7-Eleven in the lot. A peaceful place to unwind after a long day. Highly recommend it for an Orlando stay.

The room was well appointed and the location is decent, but the way this Hilton handled a mistake was so poor that I’ll likely never book this location again. I checked in ahead using the Hilton app and selected two rooms next to each other for my daughter, her boyfriend, and me. She’s legally an adult, but as her mother, staying close matters to me for personal reasons. When we arrived, the hotel had given one of the rooms away without contacting me or explaining why. They didn’t have another pair of adjoining rooms, or at least didn’t offer any. Why let guests choose rooms in the app if the hotel can ignore that choice completely? I later got a text asking how the stay was. I explained I was still upset about the room situation, and then heard nothing. Just prolonged silence. That says a lot about how this Hilton handles problems. The lack of care and concern when they make a mistake was appalling. Heaven help you if something more serious goes wrong.

We’ve stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Winter Garden three times in six months, each time for several nights, and each visit was pleasant. The hotel is handy to several highway entrances on busy Highway 50/Colonial Drive. It opened recently and works well for extended stays, with comfortable rooms and well equipped kitchenettes suited to business travelers, couples, and small families. A standard studio may feel cramped for a large family, though. Even after two years, the rooms still look new, and the lobby, breakfast area, gym, and pool are consistently clean and well maintained. We’ve stayed on every day of the week and haven’t noticed unusual traffic or noise. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is a bit disappointing even for a free meal, with fewer choices than at a Homewood Suites Hilton or Residence Inn Marriott. Outside, the parking lot feels bare, with only a tiny grassy pet area. The lot lights also seem to switch on by motion after a certain hour, probably to save energy or costs, and arriving at night that way can feel uncomfortable. Still, it’s a very good location and should make for a good stay.

This location ranks near the top of the many Home2Suites I’ve stayed at. The hotel and rooms smelled nice and were very clean, and the staff were some of the friendliest I’ve met. Breakfast had the usual options plus an easy way to make your own sandwiches. My only disappointments were the shower pressure and beds, which weren’t especially comfortable for me. That could just be personal preference. Well done!
