They don't rent to people with kids, apparently because the owner doesn't want to. At least they're upfront about it. If you have children, I guess this isn't the place for you.

SANDY was great, welcoming us with a warm smile and greeting whenever she saw us. My husband and I were in heaven in the nice little cottages right by the lake. Hope we can stay again soon, see her, and spend a bit longer next time.

The lake view is beautiful and peaceful, and you can fish from the dock. Outside, everything looked clean and well kept when we arrived. The landscaping and parking were great, the ducks were cute, and the tenants were kind and mostly kept to themselves. It was quiet, with nobody hanging around outside. The owner and staff were professional, polite, wonderful and kind. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a good layout, fresh smelling beds and covers, and clean linens. The laundry room was neat and clean too. WiFi and cable were good, and the AC ran well. I enjoyed every moment here. Thank you, Lakmar Motel, for making me feel comfortable, important and welcome. PL

The woman at the front desk was kind and helpful. The construction noise from the room next door was loud, though. We're paying $80 a night, or $590 for the week, while everyone else pays $370 a week, and that makes us feel segregated.

The lake view is beautiful, and it feels like home here. I stay pretty regularly, and the owner, staff, and other lodgers make you feel like family. Thanks, Ish and Sandy, y'all are great!
