LEGOLAND Beach Retreat

The room was dirty, with enough dust that you could feel it on your feet. It seemed like no one had cleaned before we arrived. The restaurant service was slow, and while it wasn't terrible, it wasn't good either. The food wasn't tasty. The park is nearby, though it's farther than the other two Legoland hotels, which we already knew when booking. I'd rather stay at the other Legoland accommodations.

We left a day early because our phones erased the room key data, and we felt like we were being treated as the “issue family” for having to keep going back. We weren't even refunded for the unused night. At check-in, the front desk gave our room to another guest just because we had the same last name. Nobody properly verified it, and they took no urgency in fixing the mistake. After a long trip, my family and children were left waiting, and my son wet himself during the delay. Staff showed no real concern or empathy. For the whole three-day stay, our keys kept stopping working. We had to return to the desk each day to reactivate them, and each time there was attitude instead of an apology or a lasting fix. They also put temporary holds on my card three separate times, which added stress and confusion to our family vacation. The room itself wasn't acceptable either. The AC barely worked, and when I checked the unit, its air filter was visibly dirty and clearly hadn't been maintained. A resort that markets itself as premium and kid-friendly should keep up with basic room maintenance. Several staff members came across as unprofessional and completely lacking empathy. I work as a Service Director for two dealerships, and I take customer experience seriously. In my line of work, we'd apologize, take responsibility, and do what we could to recover a guest's experience. That never happened. I felt dismissed and inconvenienced, and got attitude when I expected basic hospitality and accountability. Families spend a lot and come to places like LEGOLAND to make important memories. This trip became memorable for all the wrong reasons. I hope management reviews its front desk procedures, staff training, room maintenance, and guest care. This isn't how paying families should be treated.

The resort felt peaceful and spacious, and we couldn't hear the neighbors at night since each cabana has just two rooms. We liked it more than the Legoland Hotel Florida. Check-in at the gate was quick, the restaurant food was great, and Publix is within walking distance. The parks are only two minutes away. We'll stay again soon.

The cabins were cozy and just right for our quick, one-night stay within budget. The kids were excited about the minifigure packages waiting for us, and we enjoyed the shuttle since the resort is across the street from the park entrance, rather than on site. On booking day, I got a text from the concierge offering help with questions or problems. I used it a few times and got replies within minutes. The process was smooth, and staff were friendly and helpful, though I wish some had been better trained and more professional. I'd book again and spend longer at the pool, but I'd steer clear of the restaurant.
