This older motel has a lot of charm, and we enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, and the employees were friendly. Our TV was small enough that the picture was hard to see clearly, and the ottoman was worn and ripped. Since it’s a budget hotel, those were the only things that bothered us. We had a good stay for a great price and would come back when we’re in the area.

The room was a good size, with a fridge and microwave, and it was nice and quiet inside. Outside was well lit, and we felt safe and comfortable. The price was decent too. Check-in was adorable: you dial zero, then they come out and fill in a paper reservation. It’s a dark, weird, quaint little place, but we loved it. It seems like the kind of motel people live at, and I bet it was gorgeous back in the day.

The room was clean, which is my main concern, and I’m picky about that. It’s a dated mom-and-pop motel, probably about 60 years old, though most of the rooms have been updated. If you’re after a modern hotel, this isn’t the place. But for clean, comfortable lodging from a really nice, friendly couple, it’s perfect. We had a good stay on our way north, especially for one of the only reasonably priced choices.

The service was great, and our room was cleaner than the Comfort Inn where I stayed the night before. It’s old and gives you the Baits Motel feel when you first see it, but the beds were comfortable. The AC kept cutting off, and you can’t change the setting. Luckily it wasn’t hot, so the room stayed cool.
