Sleep Inn & Suites Wisconsin Rapids

The staff were great, and both the hotel and the rooms were clean. I appreciated the breakfast too, since it was easy to grab something and get on with the day. It’s not a five-star hotel, but I was happy with it.

Update, six years later: there’s still no hot tub, though the hotel is above average for the area. It’s clean and centrally located. They could refresh the breakfast and make a few other improvements to keep things fresh. We’d stayed here for years and booked again hoping to swim and use the hot tub. Then we found out they’d removed it. Seriously, who takes out a hot tub? They said it was too hard to clean. It’s kind of hard to find another hotel in the Rapids, but I guess it’s time.

The location was convenient, with plenty of places to eat nearby and lots of parking. Check-in was quick, and my room was very clean and quiet. I slept really well over the two nights. The TV was a little crooked, but that’s not enough to knock off a star. I’d stay again and recommend it to a friend or family member.

We come to town a few times a year to see my father and usually try a different hotel. This was our first time at Sleep Inn, and we liked it enough that we’ll probably stick with it. It was friendly, clean, and inviting, and I liked the room decor and pictures. The pool was clean too, which is always nice since pools often aren’t. Breakfast was great and nicely set up, with what looked like homemade sausage gravy. There was a small check-in problem because the toilet in our room was backed up from the previous guest, but the front desk apologized and moved us to another room quickly. The price was decent. Last time we stayed down the street for half as much, but it was freezing and kind of miserable. You get what you pay for.
