Raritan Hotel

We were here for a family wedding, and every one of us ran into the same problems. The staff were very rude when we brought them up and didn't seem interested in the quality of our stay. The sheets had cigarette burns, and the room smelled of cigarettes and weed. The carpet smelled moldy. It's crazy that a place decorated so nicely is kept up so poorly. This place was horrid; I'd give it a negative star if I could. Avoid it at all costs. I'd sleep in my car instead.

The whole place smelled strange and felt outdated, with stains on the furniture and carpet. The TV had only about five channels and was analog, with no cable. There was no TV remote, no microwave, no refrigerator, and the ice machine didn't work. I'm a truck driver and needed a nearby hotel for my break. The pictures looked amazing, so I gave it a try. Big mistake. Lesson learned.

The carpets were wet, dirty, and steaming, with stains everywhere, and the old furniture was damaged and sticky. Even the chairs were filthy. The bathroom was awful too, with a broken ceiling and stains all over. I didn't feel comfortable touching anything. There was no service, no housekeeping, and no support at the front desk. A horrible, strange odor hangs around the lobby and hallways and is especially strong in the room; it smelled like mold, humidity, and marijuana. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone under any circumstances. No matter how cheap it is, it's not worth a dollar. Spend your money somewhere else.

That was one of the worst conditions I’ve ever seen. Everything was filthy and grimy, and the place looked badly neglected. Stains all over made it seem completely abandoned. Even the toilet paper holder was rusted through and looked unhygienic. Yesterday was just awful.
