Everyone was really nice and friendly, including the front desk, and the breakfast was pretty good. Still, I don’t think we’ll stay again. We booked through hotels.com and hardly ever travel, so that was our mistake. We checked out at 9:30 a.m. a day early, but they charged us for the extra night. I didn’t mind paying for that day, but I don’t understand why they did it as if we’d checked out at 12:55 a.m. the next day. Maybe it was because we’d planned to stay another night. The parking was also a surprise. Both hotels.com and the Hilton site said it was free, but the front desk showed me a place where it said $10 a day. The booking total was $1,058, which was fine, but it didn’t include that daily parking charge. Housekeeping only comes every other day, too. I shower daily, and after ordering food our little trash can was full.

This was still a good place to stay, even though it was my least favorite of the many Home2s I’ve visited. The room was nice overall, but finding a used toothbrush on the floor made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. Breakfast was the other weak spot. The food was cold, and there wasn’t a microwave to heat it up. Breakfast seems to be a recurring issue at Home2. It’d be nice if they fixed it.

The $100-per-night incidental fee caught me by surprise, so be ready for that. We had five guests but only got four towels, and you can only get more at the front desk. The pullout couch wasn’t comfortable, and the pillows suck. The room is perfect for us because it has three beds. It’s supposed to be ADA-compliant, though, and if that’s true, a wheelchair user wouldn’t be able to get into the bathroom.

The worst part was the overwhelming smell of dog urine. There was also a lot of noise, and the nightstand switch didn’t work, even though the room looks recently remodeled. The bathroom only had hand soap and a disposable towel for removing makeup, nothing else. I couldn’t ask to change rooms because my son had one of the keys and was coming back later, and I thought switching would confuse him. It was only one night, so I could deal with it, but I shouldn’t have had to.
