I’m on the road transporting things all over the country and stay in hotels most nights. This is one of my regular stops when I’m passing through. Great spot, quiet, comfortable, and clean.

Those lobby cookies were delicious! The woman who helped us on the first night was amazing. It was Friday evening during Aftershock weekend, the hotel was completely full, and she looked tired and overworked, but stayed kind and upbeat through all the chaos. Our keys gave us trouble three times when we arrived, and we laughed through it. I wish I’d gotten her name.

I wanted to love this place because it’s great, but housekeeping has let me down, especially on the fourth floor. As a long-term guest, I expected better from the cleaning team. The work has been sloppy and inconsistent for a Hilton property.

I stayed at the Home2 Suites in Woodland near SMF before an early flight, and it was just right. The room was roomy and modern, with a spotless, updated kitchenette that had everything I needed for the night. The hotel is brand new, super clean, and good value. The park and fly option and free airport shuttle make flying out of Sacramento much easier than dealing with parking at the airport. Armando at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and check-in was easy. I fly from SMF often, so I’ll be staying here from now on.
