The room was very clean, and the daily cleaning was simple. Staff were nice, and the location made getting in and out easy. It was quiet during our visit on 2/20/26, even though locals apparently know it as a party hotel. The bed was too soft, and the room coffee was the worst. It was tea bags of coffee that you pour hot water over, and they ran out.

The outside has a motel feel, and we were a little skeptical at first, but being able to park right outside our room turned out to be great. The shared areas were clean and looked nice, and we had fun making s’mores on our last night. My friend and I finished our Yellowstone and Grand Tetons road trip at the Virginian Lodge. It felt like a little luxury reward after all those miles, and was the best stay of our trip. I can’t relate to the one-star reviews. The refurbishment works: the place feels modern, clean, and comfortable without missing the boutique-hotel feel. We especially liked the clean, cozy beds with Pendleton blankets and the spacious, clean toilets. The amenities were lovely, too. The mint and chamomile soaps, good Fellow kettle, and teas that didn’t taste cheap were nice touches. I’d happily stay at Virginian Lodge again whenever I’m in Jackson Hole.

I came across the Virginian Lodge on TikTok while searching for a one-night stay in Jackson, and I’m so glad we booked it. The rooms felt homey and were just right for our visit. The beds and shower were AMAZING. The lodge is adorable and really well kept. The lobby was cozy, with tea, coffee, and hot cocoa available around the clock, and the front desk attendants were so kind.

The property felt more like a roadside motel than the 4-star hotel it’s marketed as. Our rooms faced the parking lot, with random cars parked right outside, so there was very little privacy. There were no fitness or spa facilities either, which seems questionable for a place sold as four-star. The advertised amenities were a letdown. The outdoor pool was closed for winter, and the hot tub was broken throughout our five-night stay. The water was only slightly warm and the jets didn’t work, so after skiing there was no way to relax our muscles. Our room’s heater had a large hole, made a lot of noise, and only had two settings: blasting hot air or cold air. With temperatures falling below 6°F at night, turning it off meant the room quickly got cold, but leaving it on made sleeping difficult because of the noise and heat. Service was the biggest disappointment. Staff were consistently unfriendly. When I asked the front desk for help with the amenities, the manager sounded annoyed and unprofessional, asking, “What do you want me to do about it?” It was a bizarre, unacceptable response. The whole stay was far below what we expected from a place advertised at this level.

Beautiful garden and pool areas, with fire pits. The reception area and gift shop were nice, though the gift shop was mentioned twice in the experience. The robes were amazing, so we bought one to take home. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a really comfortable, atmospheric feel. I only wish the hot tub had been hotter. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
