The only good part was that they refunded my money without arguing. The room was filthy, with dirt, cigarette burns, and stains everywhere. There was a jelly handprint above the bed that we could clearly see in person, even though we couldn't capture it in a photo or video. Then we spotted an inch-long roach by the doorframe in broad daylight. Zoom in and you can see how big he is. The police presence outside and inside near our room was already unsettling, and the receptionist sat behind bulletproof glass.

The pictures online are grossly inaccurate. Our room smelled horrible, the TV was broken, and there was a hole punched in the window. The bed and even the supposedly new pillows from the front desk had stains, and the beds were very uncomfortable. People often smoked weed in front of the building while staff watched. When we raised problems, staff argued, got defensive, and didn't fix them properly. The front desk woman denied that the TV was broken, and I had to argue with her about it.

My partner and I got our key, saw the room, and walked right back out. The hall and room stank of tobacco, there were bugs in the tub, a hole in the bathroom door, dog food on the carpet, a hole in the fridge, and smoke damage blackened the inside of the microwave. We could hear yelling next door. At reception, an employee was chain-smoking and didn't even look up while handing my partner the key. This was the scariest hotel stay I've had. It seems focused on people living there and is a hotel in name only. When we said we were leaving, nobody offered a refund; they just asked what was wrong. It's plainly not a place where hotel guests can feel comfortable. I can't imagine what it would be like at night.

We paid ahead for two nights and booked a king-size bed, but the replacement room didn't even have one. The advertised free breakfast was no longer offered, either. In the first room, there were patched holes in the wall, hammer-like damage to the door, stab marks in the table, and a toilet that wasn't secured to the floor. When we complained, the woman at the desk was extremely rude to my husband. They moved us, but the next room had just as many holes and another loose toilet. The TV only had basic cable, with no way to connect to Netflix or anything. We spent two days in the room doing nothing but watching movies on our phones. Don't go!
