Get everything in writing when you deal with the office. We've had too many staff handling the same duties, and that's compromised the service. When we worked with just one manager in Sweetwater, we never had these communication problems. Since moving to Southern Charm, we've had one issue after another with letters and poor communication. We bought our home and became residents in January of last year in 2025. We brought paperwork to the office several times, dealing with different people each time, and paid our lot rent ahead while we also had a residence in Sweetwater next door. At the end of the year, we received a cover letter about both title paperwork and sale paperwork for the park. The sale paperwork for the title included a threat if we didn't bring the title to the office. But we had brought it at least twice earlier that year. We were told we were all set after I asked whether it had been provided, and then the title was apparently lost or misplaced while different office staff handled our change of residence. We're good residents: our payments are always prompt, we beautify our lots, help others, and are good neighbors. We were even told we're the kind of residents every park wants. So the implied threat over a misplaced file was insulting and unprofessional. A simple title issue shouldn't be combined in one letter with sale paperwork for residents moving in. That kind of communication doesn't build good relations. The rules are also getting so strict that we can't even put a vehicle temporarily on the grass to move very heavy things behind our home. We've renovated it from the floor up and are making it beautiful inside and out, with lovely plants and stone, as we do on each property where we live. My husband is a senior citizen and does most of the improvements himself, so these rules can compromise his safety when he's moving heavy items. Please improve communication with residents who are trying to do the right thing, allow some flexibility for safe work, and have a better way to ask for paperwork that was already provided.
