Hampton Inn Wytheville

We found this a really handy place to stop on a north-to-south trip, or the other way around. It's just off the highway, with lots of nearby restaurants and stores. The hotel even gives you a restaurant list with ratings and details, including which places are kid-friendly. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially Josiah, and the hotel was clean. We also liked the natural soaps, shampoo, and lotions. They come in large bottles, so you don't have to keep track of little ones. We'd definitely recommend it.

The rooms were clean, and I liked having the Zero products, from body wash through conditioner and lotion. Breakfast deserves a mention too: the eggs weren't especially fluffy, but that's just how I like them, and the bacon was wonderfully crispy. Thanks to the cooks. I'd gladly stop here again on a future drive through the states.

The pool water and temperature were just right, so kudos to whoever looks after it. Breakfast was great too, really well prepared and super clean, and the ladies making it had a grandma kind of look. Please tip them, it's worth it. The room is fire, with new body-fit pillows, and the hotel has been remodeled. These are newer photos they haven't posted yet.

As of 2/22/26, the whole pool area was under construction and couldn't be used. My kids and I were really disappointed, since we hadn't seen that mentioned on any booking site or the hotel's main page. The improvements otherwise look nice, though the rooms are a little small. Hopefully someone will update the information when the pool reopens.
