Days Inn by Wyndham West Yarmouth/Hyannis Cape Cod Area

The room felt roomy and was pretty clean. It had a fridge, microwave, and an older single-cup coffee maker. I wasn't keen on the area outside the hotel, which felt a little sketchy. The shower was disappointing too, with water coming out in just a small stream. I can't say whether every room is like that, but ours was.

The toilet stayed broken for our whole visit, and I had to fix it myself to get it to flush. I should send them a bill. I chose this hotel for my family over a slightly cheaper place nearer the sea because the website and other sources said breakfast was included. There was no breakfast. Other reviews suggest that's been true for a while. The breakfast area was always locked up, and the front desk didn't even apologize.

The bed smelled like urine, had stains, and was covered in hairs. I found dried toothpaste on the sink too. Earlier, I'd noticed hair in the tub and sink, and the sink drained slowly. The towels were rough and stained. I was on the ground floor facing the parking lot, and the curtains didn't close all the way. There were no blinds. I tried to let the first problems go, went out for dinner, then came back and got into bed before noticing the rest. The whole room grossed me out, and the way the front desk handled it made me uncomfortable, so I didn't want to try another room. When I reported everything, they pointed to the “no pets” sign. I said I knew about it, but the bed still smelled like urine and it must have been a person. They didn't seem to care. They said I had checked in four hours earlier and couldn't get a refund, because people usually complain right away or within 30 minutes. I explained that I'd first noticed some issues and tried to overlook them, then left for a while. They also said they couldn't give me a refund or receipt because I booked through Super.com. I said I'd dispute the charge with my credit card. They yelled at me and were disrespectful and completely unaccommodating. I've never written a review like this before, but I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here. It's ridiculous that the hotel's representative responds to every bad review as if the customers are all at fault instead of fixing the problems or trying to improve. Stay away.

It's an older property, but the location is great for nearby attractions and conveniences, and the value for the price was really good. The rooms have been updated recently and are decently maintained. Ours was comfortable and clean, and the small bathroom was clean too. The pool looked inviting and clean, though we didn't get to use it. We'll definitely come back.
