Riverview Resort

The common room upstairs had a pool table and a full kitchen with two stoves, which was nice, but the old, dirty games and books could use replacing. With the lights out, I didn’t even notice the space at first, and mostly just used the washers. It might have been a good place for the mid-teens to play cards, watch TV or shoot pool. We came for Thanksgiving weekend, and after they’d taken the money from my account, I was told the pool would be closed and there’d be no staff on site the next day. A lot of families were disappointed because nothing was open, and we’d planned on using the pool. It’s very clean, but extremely small if more than two families are there. The beds were comfortable. Some furniture was peeling, and the kitchen was short on regular stuff for sharing takeout: there were about eight tiny bowls, more like cat dishes. The toaster, microwave and coffee maker were useful. It felt like a mixed bag.

We’d come back. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable king bed, and the people were friendly. It’s by the river and close to restaurants.

The river view was lovely, and the indoor pool and hot tub were great. It’s a quaint, clean place, and the staff were amazing.

After more than 20 years of coming to Riverview Resort, it’s hard to think of it as anything but a home away from home. We’ve made close friends there who feel like family, and we can’t wait to see them again on each return. Jeff, the manager, and his team are amazing. Luke and Jamie are a big part of management, and the housekeepers and maintenance crew are exceptional and always there when you need them. Thanks again to Jeff and his wonderful team.
