The Cove at Yarmouth by Westgate Resorts

The kids loved the pool, and the rec center has activities for them along with nice tennis and pickleball courts. We could borrow lots of good movies and board games, too. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s comfortable and affordable, if not especially fancy, and works well for families. The one downside was the horrible on-site restaurant.

There have been lots of lovely upgrades over the past few years, and the staff are friendly at this great hotel. One heads-up for the owner and parents of toddlers: we found a small gap in the kiddy pool fence that isn’t fully enclosed, and little ones can squeeze through. I’d suggest blocking the area behind the shed. Still, five stars overall.

My daughter is really into art and crafting, and she was thrilled with the craft and art room. They had a nice range of ocean-themed crafts at very reasonable prices. I’d love more craft choices and a daily drop-in option, since a more flexible schedule would help parents. The hotel was great for families, with a nice mix of activities for kids and adults, friendly staff, and restaurants we enjoyed. The only other downsides were where the towel return is and people saving pool chairs early around the outdoor pool.

My sister-in-law and I stay here every year for a girls’ weekend. It’s a very nice, clean hotel. We don’t eat at the restaurant anymore because the food quality has gotten drastically worse. There are plenty of other places to eat in town.
