The desk staff were friendly and tried to help, and the free morning coffee wasn't bad. The outdoor pool was okay too, though the indoor one was very humid with poor air circulation and needed paint and new blinds. The room was dark and dingy, with a ragged carpet and a serious need for freshening up. The fitted sheet didn't fit my bed, we had to ask for towels, and we never got face cloths. One bed was broken on the left side, so my friend, who had that bed, could only sleep on the right. It was cheap for two nights. We found out why. You get what you pay for.

I've been coming back to the Yarmouth Resort for four or five years. I'm from Cape Cod, though I don't live there, and when I'm in town I often have visitors. The staff let me spend time with friends and family without asking questions, which gives me the privacy I value. I don't love the smell of their cleaner, but that's a trade-off I'm willing to make. They don't rent to locals because they don't want to be a drug motel. It's just easier that way. The woman at the front desk does interrupt and can make it hard to talk, but she's doing her best and is actually very sweet once you get past that. They're all lovely. I've never had a problem they couldn't resolve. They're looking after all the rooms, so be patient. I'll keep coming back every year.

The front desk woman was nice, and the price was affordable for a family with two double beds. The swimming pool was okay, but the gym felt like it was only there in name and smelled bad. Breakfast wasn't included. Our room floor was somehow wet, and the room was so dim I had to leave the bathroom door open to see anything. I chose this resort because it was the cheapest, and regretted it as soon as I saw the room. I heard there are nicer rooms with a chandelier and a kitchen. If you can put up with some smell and old amenities, it could work for a few nights, but I wouldn't stay over a week. Choose carefully.

The room was spacious, with a large mini fridge, and the shower water was nice and hot. It was quiet after 10 p.m., the front desk woman was nice, and the location is prime. But wow, this place needs an update. I know I only paid $80, yet there were lots of holes in the walls, a rusty, musty bathroom, and hairs in the sink. There was no microwave or toiletries in the room, and the strong smell of cheap air freshener was hard to miss. The carpet was pretty filthy. The two beds were at different heights, which wasn't a big deal, just weird. They still use old school keys for access.

We spent a week here and enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV was adequate, and the WiFi worked without a problem. Everyone at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool area was a nice place to relax, though the pool itself looked like it needed cleaning. The indoor pool didn't look inviting, but we're not pool people. The hotel is well located, with an easy drive to most places and several good restaurants within walking distance. It's pretty clean throughout, though it does need updating. I'd recommend it and would definitely return. Ask for a downstairs room: there's no elevator, and the stairs are pretty steep.
