Best Western Point South

Traveling from Maine to Tampa with our dogs, we found this hotel easy to get to right off the highway, with plenty of room to walk them safely. They have designated pet-friendly rooms, and the fee was very affordable. Harry at the front desk was warm and welcoming after a long day on the road. Our room was clean and comfortable, and it looked like the hotel had been updated recently. There were a few small cosmetic flaws if you looked closely, but for a budget stay, the cleanliness, safety, convenience, and customer service were all there. We’ll come back.

The room looked brand new, like it had just been updated, and it was super clean. I liked the huge TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix, and the floors had no carpet, which is a big plus for me. They’re pet friendly and even gave us a treat bag for our pet at check-in. Really nice for the price, and I’ll be back when we travel south again.

The staff were friendly and professional, so checking in was easy. We also liked the hot breakfast, which was better than average, and the pool looked pristine. The hotel is right off 95, with plenty of working ice machines. Our clean, comfortable room seemed recently renovated, though the bathroom was older but clean. The bed was comfortable too. We’ll make this a regular stop on our travels.

We had a nice overnight stop with our pet. The courtyard was cute for walking the dog, and the indoor pool looked nice, though we didn’t use it. Breakfast had a good range, including waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, and coffee. The attendant kept it stocked and the area clean during a busy rush. The room had some modern updates, and the beds and floors were clean. I always check for bugs, and didn’t see any, though a few floorboard corners could use more cleaning. We couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to connect, but that was a minor issue, mostly for the kids. For an I-95 stop, it’s a good spot. I booked a few days ahead since I knew we’d arrive late, and saw several travelers come in looking for rooms without luck. Plan ahead if you have pets.
