Joe and Marla made us feel looked after from the reservation call onward. Joe asked about food allergies while booking, which was a great start. The house is gorgeous, full of antiques, and even the silverware matched the pattern I grew up eating with, a surprising little touch of home. They’d thought of so many details, from separate tea and coffee stations to soft monogrammed robes, branded toiletries, and a library for each room. Ask to see the pub downstairs, too. Best B&B I’ve ever stayed in.

We came back from dinner to homemade cookies and tea, then picked a movie from the upstairs library. Marla had recommended a lovely restaurant, and she’d also arranged the bouquet of roses I’d asked for before we arrived. The room was clean, full of antiques, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Marla and Joe were warm and friendly, and breakfast the next morning was leisurely and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and are already thinking about a weekend here with friends, including an evening in the old tavern downstairs. With its huge fireplace, it felt like stepping into the Prancing Pony (J.R.R. Tolkien).

Breakfast was the standout for me. Marla is a fantastic cook, and everything was fresh and delicious, especially the homemade croissants and the frittata with fresh basil. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and the whole place is well cared for with the comforts of home. Joe and Marla are great hosts and around when you need them. I’d happily recommend The Queen's Residence for a Ypsi or AS trip.

The owners took time to tell us about the house's unusual and interesting history, and the innkeepers were gracious and accommodating. We had a nicely furnished first-floor room with a king-size bed. It’s a wonderful B&B in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and worth considering for a U of M game or activities at U of M or Eastern Michigan.

The meals were plentiful and really tasty, and the historic home was spotless. The owners were very cordial, too. Best B&B in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area. Thanks for such a wonderful stay. I won't stay anywhere else.
