Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Yuma

The room was clean, and the view and location were nice. Front desk staff were pretty nice too, with awesome service. But in the middle of the night, I got up to use the bathroom and saw about five cockroaches running around.

I drove all the way from Vancouver BC Canada 🇨🇦 to CoCo Beach Costa Rica 🇨🇷, staying in hotels, motels, and inns every night. Budgetel Inn lived up to its name as an absolute worst stay. I was there for a week and got no refund, even though cable TV and internet kept cutting in and out every day. Thank goodness I had data on my own cell and iPad. I only asked for housekeeping once, and the door wouldn’t shut properly unless I slammed it. Wendy’s next door was the one good thing for me at this Hotel Yuma. I hope people read this and don’t waste their money or make the same horrible memory.

The room was dirty and smelled moldy, with stained sheets. The front desk woman argued with me and provided no service, making a fuss when I tried to pay to extend my stay at 11:10. I’ve never run into that at another hotel. There are plenty of better places nearby for the same price, so stay elsewhere.

I chose this place through Priceline after looking at the photos, but what I found was nothing like the pictures. There was visible mold in the room, and I didn’t feel safe. Someone from a neighboring room even came over trying to sell me household items. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this motel.
