We loved the park. Our lot was paved, and everything was clean, including the public bathrooms and laundry rooms. It was quiet, away from traffic noise, and there were lots of entertainment options and activities.

They've done a great job updating the landscaping and adding game boards, plus there's a 30 x 60 swimming pool heated to 80°. It's a nice RV park. Please don't tell anybody, but I live here all winter. Perfect.
My brother lives here. It's a nice, quiet place, but there just aren't enough parking spaces.
Southern Knights were the best band. It was such a fun night!
After I signed a one-year lease at Settler's Rest, I paid $1200/mo to live in one of the park models. About 90 days or so ago, we were told the lease wouldn't be renewed because the unit was going up for sale. To keep renting, we'd have to switch to seasonal rates: $1,564/mo + elec/cable from May to September, $1,817/mo + elec/cable from October to December, and $2,652/mo + elec/cable from January to March. Those are last season's prices, so the next season will most likely cost more. I'm only one of many here who has recently faced a 225% increase; my neighbors have faced the same situation. On top of that, the park is in default on our lease because our $500 security deposit still hasn't been returned. The legal limit is 2 weeks, and we're now at 4 weeks. I won't even get into how bad the maintenance and lawn care are.
