We heard about this place from someone and were glad we took the recommendation. It’s an authentic, quiet, very clean place, and the hostess was the highlight. She’s kind, sweet, and helpful, and knows and loves the village. We’d stay here again.

Friendly place, nice and quiet.

For a walk around the area, the Valizas dunes are close by, and heading out in the early morning seems well worth it. The place itself has a lot of charm and personality. It’s simple, but has a class to it and a family feel. It’s a roots-style experience with a little extra glamour. If you’re traveling toward Punta del Este via Chuí, and passing through this area, it’s well worth stopping to rest. Cabo Polonio isn’t too far away, either. Ask Ceci about a room with a private bathroom. Shared bathrooms are common around here.

The breakfast buffet was spectacular, with cakes, homemade bread, fresh orange juice, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and coffee. We stayed in a room with a very clean shared bathroom, which was lovely, though you can also book one with a private bathroom. Cecilia was attentive to our needs, and the service, amenities, and little details made the stay enjoyable. The inn is two blocks from the bus terminal and a little far from the beach, but a short walk gets you there and is worth it. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. If we return, we’d definitely stay here again.

The hostess is friendly and helpful, and guests get a warm welcome. Breakfast is delicious, and the garden is a lovely spot to unwind. The rooms are clean, with rustic furnishings. You’re close to the pedestrian zone, with the beach easy to reach, plus shops for everyday needs and restaurants nearby.
