The location is great, the courtyard is lovely, and breakfast was always amazing, with coffee, pastries, and more. The bathrooms were decent. Still, after staying a few weeks, I’d say the hotel was pretty meh, nothing special. I don’t think the corridor hallways were cleaned even once. Room cleaning was bare minimum: they made the bed without changing the blankets, changed the towels, and took out a little trash. I guess vacuums are rare here, or even a broom? The hallway windows were always open for summer, but there were no screens, so bugs got in. The safe in the closet malfunctioned every day. I stayed over New Year’s, so I understand people want to socialize and have fun late. But people in the courtyard were hollering between 2-4 in the morning. Does the front desk even care? It was so inconsiderate.

We couldn’t find our passports straight away, and the reception staff showed no understanding. The man without a name tag working on 21.01.26 repeatedly rolled his eyes in a clearly disrespectful way and was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. He said he needed a few minutes to check whether our room was available, then we sat waiting for almost 30 minutes. When we politely asked for an update, he rudely said check-in was only after 2 pm and told us to go away. Apparently there was no manager available to address it. We travel often and have stayed in many hotels with fewer stars and far better service. We strongly advise against staying here at any price.

I enjoyed everything, from reception and the rooms to the food. I had the chicken wok, which was carefully cooked. I really recommend it. Thank you.

There was stuff on the walls, and the room was dirty, like it hadn’t been wiped down in who knows how long. The air conditioning looked poorly cleaned and kept switching off after 5 minutes. It was 26 C outside, so I went to the front desk to ask for a fan to help with the cooling, but they said they didn’t offer one. Next time I’ll stay at another hotel instead of MVD, somewhere worth the $100 I paid.

The room smelled all the time, and the breakfast was just so-so. You couldn’t even get a fried egg, and the coffee was awful. It was overpriced.
