We stayed for a long time in the area, and the hotel's convenient location worked well. The indoor pool was nice, with a great view, though yellow and orange tiles are a strange choice around warm water. It was fun to watch people from our room. The hotel's restaurant was convenient and reasonably priced for the food quality, but consistency varied. The restaurant and wait staff in particular were kind and helpful, and I appreciated their courtesy. I had trouble at checkout: it took a while to get a full bill breakdown and pay the balance, perhaps because not everyone knew the reservation system. We did get it sorted eventually, and I'd return for shorter stays.

The room is small, but comfortable, and the bed was good. I just wish there were more TV channels. At the bar I had the "Master of The Craft" cocktail by Ana Ancheta, and it was absolutely delicious. Nahuel gave some of the best customer service I've had. This Aloft property feels brand new and modern, across from a work space and a fancy shopping mall. I enjoyed my stay.

The restaurant was great, and the location puts you near the water and some nice neighborhoods. The old town is farther away, but an Uber ride there is easy. Walls are a little thin, so try not to be too loud. Still manageable.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. The hotel is near one of the biggest shopping malls. I used the gym too.

The location is convenient, but the rest of my stay at Aloft Montevideo fell short. It felt dated and poorly maintained, which surprised me for an Aloft. Getting through to the front desk was difficult, so even small requests became frustrating. The bathroom soap dispenser never worked during my stay. I was also disappointed by the restaurant: the food lacked flavor and quality, and wasn't up to what I've experienced at other Aloft properties. The service, upkeep and dining all need significant improvement to meet the expectations travelers may have of the Aloft name.
