We left a night early because the atmosphere had become so tense, and other guests staying then seemed to be having similar trouble. The owner tried to demand more money, saying he hadn’t received it, and his manner felt arrogant and discourteous. Some parts of the place were also poorly maintained and not very hygienic. Tobias, one of the employees, was lovely and helpful and made things easier. The other employee was polite too. But my stay was awful, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were kind and ready to help, but the owner’s frequent presence in the shared spaces made things uncomfortable. We had a terrible stay. We felt the owner tried to scam us, and later saw him treating other guests in questionable ways. Some of them left early too, as we did. The place was also missing basic necessities. Even one star feels like too much.

We couldn’t rest with music on from 8 a.m. and the owner speaking loudly and rudely through the day. Arguments and conflicts seemed constant, and he treated employees and guests badly. We left almost in secret because we couldn’t predict how he’d react, and he’d throw tantrums like a child. Our stay was a nightmare. If you want to experience the true essence of Cabo San Lucas, this isn’t the place.

The facilities were far below what the photos led us to expect, and we left before our booking was over because the owner’s aggressive behaviour made us suspicious. At another hostel, we heard many other people had the same problem. We were also told that when people book through Booking.com, the owner asks them to cancel so negative reviews can be avoided. Plenty of people seem to have had unpleasant stays. Don’t go.
