Narbona Wine Lodge

The location was very nice, the hotel service was top-notch, and the restaurant served fantastic food. For a five-star hotel, though, I had to take off a star for the pool area. The pool wasn't clean, the area was messy, the cushions were dirty, and the pool table was broken. The gym had only two machines, right beside the pool, and the room itself was unappealing and not clean.

The wines were wonderful, and the property has a really interesting story. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was beyond anything we've experienced before. The place was beautiful and peaceful, with a charm that made it hard to leave. Even before we arrived, the concierge was incredibly helpful, and once there, everyone made us feel like family. Thank you for welcoming us into your home. It was unforgettable, and a perfect way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and birthday.

The wine tasting included with our stay was a highlight, so be sure to pre-book. We also loved the memorable five-course dinner, and breakfast on the porch was a lovely start to each day, with homemade yogurt, jams, and eggs made to order. We spent 3 wonderful nights at Narbona Wine Lodge in the Tannat room. It was spacious and comfortable, with a private patio that felt like our own retreat. The setting is peaceful and stunning, with thoughtful design and a lovely atmosphere. The service was exceptional. Thanks especially to Maurizio and the lovely woman from Portugal for making us feel so welcome. I'd highly recommend it for a relaxing, refined getaway in Carmelo.

Narbona has lost the respectable image it took so long to build. My family and I used to love it across generations. My parents spent several anniversaries in Narbona's rooms and always came home happy. Now there's been a complete lack of accountability, and the customer service is so poor that a company we saw as luxurious, with products worth their price, has become cheap and despicable in its treatment of customers. We bought several Narbona products and found mold inside them, even though they were far from their expiration dates. Each one cost around 30 dollars, which is hardly cheap for canned peaches or dulce de leche. They've lost loyal customers. We contacted them through several channels about what was a very special gift from my mom to my dad, but they never took responsibility or owned up to it. For all their luxury branding, the customer service is third-rate.
