We’re very happy with hotel central and will stay here again on our trips to Durazno. It’s handy for walking around town, and even easy with a big family. The rooms are simple, functional, and clean. Wifi, the shower, and breakfast were all great, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The wifi was pretty good, and at 55usd the price was low, so those are the reasons I give it two stars. The location is genuinely central, but the room and the rest of the hotel felt worn. The bathroom floor apparently hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, and there was a smell like something had died in the walls. Outside, the cars were so noisy it felt like they might drive into the room. They tried to cheat us on the tax, though I can’t really blame the employees for that. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have other options.

It’s in a great location, but the bathroom smell was abhorrent. We bought a full can of disinfectant spray and still couldn’t get rid of it. The place also wasn’t very clean. They’ll cheat you on VAT reimbursements for international cards, too.
